Having kids birthday parties in public spots.

Is it just me that thinks that having your kids birthday party at a public pool/water park/ kids “play place” is trashy?

I ain't going to say it's trashy. I wouldn't do it, but I can't fault people who don't have the money to try and give their kids something better than just being at home.

I have my girlfriends kids’ birthdays at the local park. Works fine. Everyone comes out. The ex, his new lady and their kids, shits a blast

Some people can’t afford a few hundred bucks to pay for a party at a place. And their house may be crappy. A park provides a place for them to let the kids play. As long as the kid has a good time, that’s what matters.
What’s trashy is when they think they own the park while they’re there. As long as they realize other people can be on the playground or at the picnic table next to them, it’s all good.

I have many parties at my house. It's nothing but a bust arse all day event when that happens. I've also had parties at parks or wherever, and I find more people tend to pick up better after themselves in public. When it's all done, I can go home to a still clean house. A bunch of kids running around the house/garage/yard....can destroy shite quickly....so it's not necessarily a money thing. Also, I don't have a half a million dollar playground at my house. Parks do.

Kids should be playing in parks way more than they do, birthday party of not.
Big open spaces, slightly dangerous activities, running around being physically active, playing kid games with kid rules that only kids know.
