Nope. I don't think it is trashy, not everyone can afford to rent somewhere. At least the parents are caring enough to celebrate their child. Lots don't, whether it be rented, at home or a park location.

My family isn’t poor or trashy and we love having the kid’s birthday parties in the park.
I think $350 for 2 hours at the jumpy place for pizza and cake from Sam’s is just lazy. Lazy is trashy.

We have a nice park close to the house and seems there is a BD party almost every weekend when the weather is good. There is plenty to do and the kids like it and there doesn't seem to be an issue with trash left behind either. I think it's a good idea.
