Flushots typically don't hurt much when given. Your arm might just be sore later on.
Mine was the opposite. Hurt like a bitch when given, but afterwards, I couldn't feel it or even find the injection site.

I give such injections at my new job in a chiropractic clinic as an NP.
I use Sarapin with marcaine (numbing agent) and have yet to have anyone say their shoulder hurt with any significance after the injection

Yes ankle shoulder and lower back. I have avascular necrosis in my ankle probably caused by too many injections.

I've had cortisone injections in my knee that helped almost instantly. That does not sound normal.
I also get 10-15 cortisone injections in my neck and back every 3 weeks for the past 7 years and counting.

I wish I would have had some about a year ago - but, my shoulder still hurts from time-to-time. Thanks for the info on the Voltaren! Hope your shoulder gets to feeling better - I don't think people realize how much shoulder pain can impact your daily life...

I've had 3 shots in the shoulder. It get better.
I learned some exercises from the PT which I do now, which help eliminate my pain.

Yes, wrist, probably the most uncomfortable shot I have ever had. Will hurt for a day or two.
