This tends to happen more often in rural areas. I grew up in the country, and we’ve hit plenty of dogs, and lots of other animals.

The worst was when my brother hit a chicken crossing the road. Tried to take flight a little late, and got caught by the antenna at around 50. Bad part was that the windows were down bc of no ac in the 76 Corolla, so feathers, and chicken parts sprayed in!! The antenna looked like a noodle afterwards.

Neighbor of my grand parents had a blue heeler that loved chancing everything. It bit me once riding my bike. My papaws old ford had the white wagon wheel wheels on it that were popular back in the day. He decided since my mamaw wouldn’t let him kill it to tie an old dish rag around one of the spokes. He left the driveway and drove really slow knowing the dog chased cars.

It latched on the that rag, and he heard a loud yelp. When he turned around and got back home he found a lot of the dogs teeth in the rag.

Old people were wise!!!
