I had the same thing 3 JL 10’s w a JBL 1200 Watt Amp in a Montero Sport that thing would jump

good friend of mine builds competition woofers. Yes, builds the woofers. These things are way different than I remember speakers being back in the day. I think the 15" woofers he builds weighs over 100 lbs.
the amplifiers he runs are kinda ridiculous as well
he uses trays of capacitors from subways as his power source instead of batteries.
he holds a record of like 182 decibels or something stupid like that. It's so loud it will stop your heart if you sit in it.

Yeah, a Clarion cassette with a Clarion EQ booster, Pioneer TS 6907s in custom boxes in my 1980 Supra... 
Thought it was the shite... I couldn't afford the stereo with the presets...
I have the stock Bose system in my Silverado, it's sounds better than that one did....
