I do occasionally when having blood drawn. I have to lay down to have it done. If I'm sitting up I'll fall out half the time.

I passed out a few months back. I believe it was due to a sudden drop in bp. One minute I was standing, the next I was looking up at the ceiling. I got up and walked into the kitchen and passed out again, splitting the back of my head open when it bounced off of the floor. Hasn't happened since then, thankfully.

I had a friend that would faint at any view of his own blood. He would pass out if he ever got his finger pricked to get a drop of blood.

It was only the sight of his own blood, not someone else's.

Yea I'm a paramedic so other people's blood doesn't bother me. What's weird is, it only does that to me in medical settings. I cut myself gutting a hog once in middle of the woods and bled more than I ever have, didn't phase me at all. Draw some of my blood through a syringe and I'm done.

If I have to get a steroid shot I will faint. First time it happened was around 18 years old. Sinus shite going crazy and got a steroid shot to knock it out. They always give it in the arse and I wanted to walk it off and fainted. I know now to just take a seat for a few minutes. I still get lightheaded.

I fainted once. I was crossing the border from US to Canada, and they pulled me in for a vehicle inspection. I was standing by my car as they started to search and just standing there, I fainted.

The border agents pulled me up to a sitting position, and gave me some water. I think they thought I fainted from nerves, as they searched my car really well, even bringing the dogs over.

When they finished and I went to leave, the agents would not let me drive, they made my wife drive and had her promise that she would not let me drive for awhile to make sure I was OK.

I've passed out from drinking too much. Does that count?

Yes. 3 times.

All from being grossed out from my own body.

Never get grossed out if I see it from someone else.

Came close once. Accidentally caught a knife to the underside of my forearm. Didn't even hurt, and there was hardly any blood because it went into the muscular part of my arm. Dabbed it with a paper towel, threw a band-aid on, and went on about my business.

About 10 minutes later, started getting tunnel vision and feeling very weak and dizzy, like I was about to collapse. Went and sat with my head down until it passed.

I guess it was some form of shock.

I'm the same way. I would draw blood on kids and start IVs all the time at work...didn't phase me one bit. Have me go get blood work done at a doctor's office and I have to look away or I will feel light headed.

To answer OP...I fainted once after getting blood work done when in college. The VERY first time I had ever had to have blood work done. Didn't eat much that day and I was really anxious about the blood work. The nurse said she turned around to get a bandaid and when she turned back to me...I was already slumped in the chair. Had to sit at that health clinic on LSU's campus (is that even open anymore?) for like 3 hours cause my blood pressure wouldn't come up enough to their liking. Now...anytime I have to have bloodwork done I have to make sure I eat first so I don't get light headed.

Donating blood in high school is the only time I have. Was kinda hungry going into it and was trying rush the blood out so I could get that cookie and OJ. Fell back on the dude next to me.

I randomly fainted while standing in line at Popeyes around lunchtime in Baton Rouge when I was in college. I saw bright yellow for about 10 minutes afterwards, and I was dizzy as hell. I still have no idea why that happened, but it hasn't happened since. That was about 10 years ago. My sister jokes with me about it saying I had menu anxiety.

Fainted after a car wreck once. Made it to hospital. They took lots of x-rays and determined what all was wrong. Broken hand and ribs. Apparently they needed the bed so they told me to gtfo. They brought the wheel chair in and helped me into it, 30 seconds later I remember asking for something to vomit in, then I remember waking up with the nurse holding my head patting my cheek. Nothing like the human equivalent of a hard reset. They gave me another 30 seconds then rolled my arse out. My advice - if you are going to have a wreck and need an ER, don't do it near Opelousas.

I have been knocked out with concussions a couple of times.

Once was playing the pass-out game as a teenager, where you take 10 deep breaths and get lifted and shaken. My bud thought I was faking and dropped me like a rock. My head hit the concrete, and two hours later I wake up being asked about what year it was, and who was president. The year was 1984, and Reagan was president. Spent the next two hours puking and being slapped in the face from trying to fall asleep, which was supposed to be a death knell in those days.

Also got in a bar fight, where I was wailing on some dude, and slipped on the drinks we threw on the floor in the process. I remember seeing the pool tables go from horizontal to vertical, and feeling the same sensation I had from my "pass-out" experience. Next thing I know, I'm walking away with a bloody nose and several knots on my head. I still think I won that one, though.

I've passed out from heat exhaustion a couple times and from dehydration when I had the flu about 6 years ago. Most wicked dreams I've ever had each time. It's like an ambien dream

Briefly in Jr. High. There was a trick we would do to make people pass out. Bend over and inhale and exhale ten times. On the last time hold your breath. Stand up straight and have someone push on your chest. You black out.

Never worked. I always thought it was BS.
