Several times.
The best was when a bush pilot in Alaska bought the round for all 12 of us in a bar in Alaska. He had flown me up onto Denali earlier that day so I thought it was cool.

Not at all. They've cut me, blasted me with radiation and poisoned me with chemicals, yet I woke up above ground today. I'm pretty sure that most survivors or those battling will tell you, keeping your mind in a positive place goes a long way to healing your body.
