I'm happy you clarified this part because I was under the impression that it was being towed by horses and that just isn't believable

He was all bundled up because it was cold but I once recognized Bart Starr and asked him if he was who I thought he was. He asked who I thought he was and then shook my hand and we talked for a few minutes. I was kinda of shocked that he took the time but he was very nice. A real class act.

Most memorable experience was leaving the Roux House at 2:15am in downtown BR around 2006. As we were walking out, a buddy was trying to sneak his drink out with him. As we pass the bouncer and step into the street, some punk was heading into the bar. He bumped into my buddy, spilled his drink, and kept walking.
My buddy says "Hey, how about an 'excuse me'?"
The dipshit turns, and with a straight face asks "Do you know who I am?"
Buddy: "Not a clue"
Dipshit: "My last name is Blanco, what's that tell you?"
B: "It tells me your mom is biggest c--t in this state!"
DS: "She's my aunt"
B: "Then your aunt is the biggest c--t in this state!"

I bust out laughing and my buddy just turns and walks out...

I've never had that happen, but I have had several people tell me "they know the owner " in my own business.

I love when this happens. When I worked for someone else I would say... so do I. Now I just give them the old... "Oh yea? What's my kid's name?"

I've met him a couple of times, I've actually stayed in the bedroom he grew up in(his dad was a Marine so it was actually the house they lived in when he retired,) Bart Starr is one of the nicest, kindest, most genuine people you will ever meet, I hate to hear that his body is giving up on him, if you google post game interviews after the Ice Bowl and the next NFL championship game you won't believe what a gentleman he is, especially compared with some of the sleaze bag crap that we have to listen to today

Thanks for confirming what I experienced. I too am sorry to hear of his health issues.
