If a woman hits me, i'm hitting her back with all of the grief my wife has ever given me in that punch. It might kill her.

Punching anyone is just a damned near guaranteed way to hurt your hand.
Palm strikes. You can tee off on a truck with palm strikes and not hurt your hand.
I got straight up drilled in the forehead in college by a fist...other than the brief moment of confusion of why someone would so dumb as to AIM for the forehead, zero effect.
Poor kid fricked his hand up and got arrested for his troubles.
