The outside wall on one side and a firewall between the garage and the house on the other side. The 3rd side faces a utility room on the garage side.

Clean the pile up, put down a glue trap, see if you catch something. If not, get a can of great stuff and seal the opening around the pipe

When mice flatten their bodies to fit in that small space between the pipe and the wall, they squeeze the excrement out of their bowels. It’s pretty shitty.

Thanks all. Think we’ve found the answer. Haven’t seen any vermin in the house, which is very well maintained. Must be in the attic and or walls, maybe coming from a fault in the soffit or such. Will research and remedy. Thanks to y’all who actually tried to help.

My suggestion is the remedy. Kills fast, is reusable, and it's cheap. It works great. I use them in my barns and they are a life saver.

If you can get your hands on a can of CB-80 or Delta Dust, use that to blast the hell out of the inside of that wall.
