Have a few questions regarding Uptown parades tomorrow.

Planning to go to Iris and Tucks tomorrow with my family (wife, 2 daighters ages 7 and 5, no pics). First of all, Id assume that since these are early day parades they would be pretty family friendly? Second, where ate some good areas to try to park? We realize we will walk a ways and have no problem with that. In fact, we figure we will be paying to park. Lastly, are there any areas around the routes that have restrooms available? Id imagine we woukd pay for this as well.
Thanks in advance for the help and may the Mardi Gras gods be kind to you over the next few days.

Should I rethink bringing kids?

It is all family friendly on St Charles, so you are good there. You better get there early if you want any kind of spot for the kids, prepare to have them on your shoulders most likely
park anywhere along the streets in uptown and you will be fine. I park on jefferson or around Tulane, no need to pay for somewhere to park.
You can find port o potties all around, a lot of them are on Napoleon. Sacred heart has pay to pee ones, 2 bucks a go or 5 bucks for all day pass, may be a good idea with the little ones

Just park as close to napoleon and st Charles as possible. The school on the corner has a good deal for using the porta potties all day.
In the future, you should check out the day parades that run down magazine like toth, mid city, etc. They are a lot less crowded and really family friendly.

Park somewhere off the lake side of Napoleon. Walk down Napoleon and find a spot between napoleon and magazine on the neutral ground. Plenty of porta potties and plenty of room. The first parade starts on the Claiborne side of napoleon but the second starts at Magazine.
Very family friendly and plenty of restrooms and plenty of space
Personally I'll be in the front of Nola hamburger and seafood but my kids are older and they kind of roam around by themselves.
Good luck

Holla at ya boy.
I just got home. Tonight was great. We brought my wife's car down there by Pascals earlier and parked it. Caught an Uber around 5 and got dropped off right at the corner of Magazine and Napoleon. Walked to her car after the last parade and got the hell out. Easy peezy

Real talk, anywhere from Peniston to Napoleon on St. Charles is fine for kids, at least for the early parades. If I were you, I'd try and find free curb space in the neighborhood north of St Charles. Restrooms are a bit harder to find. There are porta potties that many parties will rent out, so you can try them. Other than that, I'd suggest befriending one of the mansion dwellers or try Superior Grill. Those are the only places I've found success around there.
