The stress of the last 2-3 years has shaved 20 years off of my life.

I don’t know how to get out. Only option is to push through.

I truly believe you have to chose to be happy.

If you practice gratitude in your life it is amazing what it can do. But you have to ditch the bad eggs that don't because they will bring you down with a quickness.

Everyone’s locked into a tight vortex of tiny screens, social media negativity, and mass distortions of reality.

Extended time in the natural world would be an incredible tonic for so many.

But most are severed from the kind of existence we were intended to pursue.

Yes, they do, and positive acts.

Two things people have said they do recently that stuck out to me and I'm trying to incorporate them into my everyday life. I don't remember everyday or every time, but I'm working on it.

1. Do something kind for someone else every day. Even if it is just a small compliment for a stranger. You know I got an index card that says "you're awesome -from a happy stranger" put on my windshield on the way to girls trip last year at Buc-ee's, its still on my fridge and I still smile whenever I read it.

2. Think of something positive I like about myself when I pass a mirror. That one can be tricky somedays. But I've found if you like yourself its easier to like and be kind to others.

Just my thoughts.

And see, now even with typing that out I'm less annoyed with the two douchebags in my life today, and guess what...they are still miserable assholes right now and will still be tomorrow.

Self is a pretty glaring character defect for me. Its not taking, but might as well be.

Someone said it perfectly today, they wake up in the morning and their roulette wheel of self starts spinning. Self-doubt, self-pity, selfishness, etc. Which ones it gonna be today?? So I'm working on not doing that anymore. Its hard because it turns out that I'm my favorite person. I fail miserably a lot of the days. But hey progress, not perfection.
