I think we’ve sort of hit a barrier to where we won’t converge. I think I’ve stated my position that I don’t think the concept of “gender” as is commonly used useful or that it even represents something that exists. I think it leads to an incoherent model and using an incoherent model when approaching treatments seems like a dangerous practice.
You clearly do not agree, but my willingness to continue here is kind of at its end. I wish you the best of luck if you want to continue this with the others here.

That’s a fair criticism and one I’ll actually think about going forward and try to seek out someone in real life who can answer it.

No, I’m suggesting that the privileging of GD with DSDs is myopic because of the rate at which we’ve made associations at genetic, epigenetic, and molecular levels. We allow for complete autonomy over a persons body if they have an identifiable DSD but require a much more rigorous process for those who have the same exact presentation, with evidence of the same pathophysiology. Given the rate of discovery, I don’t see a real reason for privileging one presentation over another. Also to be clear, we have several explanations for transgenderism at the molecular level, we just don’t know why it occurs and who it will occur in.
