Has anyone on the OT been to Singapore? Would you live there?

Just wondering. Recently watched a documentary involving Singapore and it seems like a great place for expats.

The entire Asian Pacific is a gold mine for ex-pats. You can live like a king off Social security there.
Can't fathom why all these old people, whose families are just waiting for them to die, sit around watching tv and counting pennies, when they could live on a beach with maids and personal chefs.

Very clean awesome city as long as you stay out of little india.
Everything is too expensive and they for some reason love malls.
Cigarettes are super expensive as well.
You can get any type of food you can think of and nearly everyone speaks at least singlish.
ETA: I would live in indonesia and visit singapore because od the proce of everything in Singapore.
