Back in the late 90s, I saw him at a private party on the 2nd floor of Ernst Cafe. He seemed nice enough, I didn't really interact with him, but he looked like he was into some hard core drinking.

Waited on him at Antoine's restaurant a few years ago. Nice guy. Tipped well. And did a lot of coke in the Proteus room!

He has 144 acting credits to his name. He was on a little show called Roseanne on which he made at least 6 figures per episode. He has had some decent voice roles in a small little movie called monsters inc that made $290,000,000.

understood, but the big guaranteed money doesn't trickle down to all of the players, and certainly not the royalties, plus, when's the last time you've seen a Rosanne or Monster rerun? it could be happening overseas I guess, if he's in on that for his "body of work," props to his agent/lawyers, I just talked to a friend of mine today that has regular nonspeaking parts in Chicago PD/Fire that has had to sleep in his truck in 40 degree weather recently

Yeah, cause that is a fair comparison to John Goodman's career.

no, it's not, but I had a legit question, still don't see him as a huge star getting huge royalties, I'd say that most show biz types, and that would include pro athletes, usually leave their trade in worse financial shape than when they started, I guess I'm wrong to question Mr. Goodman, I just don't see him as that big of a star, I guess I'm wrong, cheers

He was very sociable when in BR filming Everybody's All American. Even made an appearance in Murphy's.

curious as to how he has wealth, not a big star, in a few shows/movies, not great hit shows or movies, nothing that you see that would seem to be generating tons of royalty $, just curious
You must be under 25 years old.

Roseanne was a huge show back in the day in which he co-starred. I would also say you don't have to be super loaded to live quite well in LA.

I did a search and found one web site that says he is worth $65 Million.

Give me a break. He's probably so poor he can't even afford a Yukon like the majority of the posters on the OT. No wonder he never posts here. He has no Yukon to brag about.

Saw him walking out of Linens N Things in Elmwood one random day around 2000. Seriously.

One of my friends ran into him at that cool coffee shop on the corner of oak and Carrollton. He said he tried talking to john, but he seemed a little indifferent, wasn't mean but didn't really want to talk. My friend was talking to him about the big lebowski. He said they parted ways, John walked away, then turned back around and said, "8 year olds, dude."

I was behind him in line at the Discount Zone on Metairie Rd. and Friedrichs. He was buying an armful of frozen treats, Nutty Buddy's, Push Ups, you name it, he had it

Back when Archer was head coach, I had a fishing trip planned for early Sunday morning, so I let my GF at the time have my 40 yd. line tickets to an LSU game. She said John goodman sat next to them and "he was so nice". She was an airhead blonde FWIW. No pics.

He must have a couple of houses in the area. A number of people have said he lives on the north shore but he definitely has a house right where orleans parish meets old metairie......I think it's on the Orleans side of the canal.

Never met him. Heard he's a nice guy who was a real piece of work back in his drinking days. Let's just say he was tossed out of more than New Orleans establishment in the 90's.
