1. Sex
2. Xanax
3. Less caffeine
4. Working out harder and not after 1pm.
5. Turn off all of the social media.
6. Meditation

All of this has helped me.
Good luck

Working out always gives me energy. Try working out in the morning. Yes, even if it is at 4:30 am. Do it. After a couple of days you will fall asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow. And no day time naps.

When this first started, I would wake up violently after having fallen asleep taking a big gasp for air and it felt like my heart had stopped, because I had not been breathing. This would happen multiple times a night.
this is sleep apnea.you should get it checked out,it does damage to your heart every time it happens.

Try going to bed earlier. I started doing this after my baby was born because she slept in our room and I'd go to sleep at the same time as her and I fell asleep so much easier at 9 or 9:30 vs 10 or later. I didn't realize that was the key until I tried going to sleep at my normal bedtime again once the baby was in her own room and I was having trouble sleeping again. I also remember reading something awhile back about that as well but didn't think much of it at the time. It has something to do with melatonin levels and when they peak.
