i went all organic and drank mothers apple cider vinegar cut back on all red meat, that was around 2007.
Today I'm diabetic and eat high fat low carb sorta keto dietish, I never have reflux anymore, and mine was bad,
have a friend that has it and always complains, will not try a different diet

FML. A month ago I had a bad heartburn episode (I never really had heartburn often at all before). Since then, I've been back and forth to the doctor for tests as I have had serious problems eating and even had a stretch of a few days with nothing to eat at all but fluids.
At the moment I'm on Protonix, I basically cannot eat very much food or I feel incredibly full in the chest and it feels awful. But if I don't eat for a while and get hungry, and I have chest pains and nausea.
I've had an endoscopy done and have small-to-medium hiatal hernia.
My mother had this issue when she was around my age but it went away after many months. But I'm seeing tons of people online say this has lasted forever for them.
I'm already hating my life for the past month feeling like I'm fricking broken. Yesterday was my second day back to work and I had to leave early because I was too dehydrated/thirsty in the heat outside but felt way too full to continue drinking water/gatorade.

Avoid the Nissen at all costs and do not let anyone talk you into removing your gall bladder "since we're in there". I have seen that happen to two folks I know and the results were horrendous. Diet,Rx and a good Gastro are the keys to success.
Well I'm already one down
I actually know a guy who had the Nissen done at the same time he had his gallbladder taken out. If you end up having both surgeries reasonably close together, probably is best to get it all out of the way at once.

The Nissen worked wonders for me.

Its funny when you see some fatass who is a diabetic and then you talk to them about the benefits of keto and the basics of keto is that you are switching from carbs as your fuel source to fats, and then the diabetic gets all defensive about how fats are bad, yada yada, and how my Dr says I can eat this or that (usually carb heavy foods) but in limited amounts, yada yada, but I got to take my pill several times a day, every day for the rest of my life.
Yeah and are you surprised that you are still a fat arse? Guess if you have your 'magic pill' that you can take and eat shitty foods, then why not just do that instead of actually having to change?

Prevacid is by far the best.
