He’s funny as hell. His latest (as in a couple years ago) special is hilarious

Now is the time. He'll be at IP casino in Biloxi 11/2

It’s been decades ago, he’s funny and clean humor...or he was then.

His old stand up is fricking excellent. If his recent stand up is anything like his old stuff, then you're in for a treat.

The first hour was his regular act, the entire second hour was total improv. Complete interaction with the audience.
I can’t imagine that many people are that talented to be able to pull that off.
There are 3 pretty distinct groups of comedians:
1. The NYC group - has the most polished material and delivery. Can play 2 or 3 clubs 3-4 nights a week in front of legit comedy audiences, so they have the most practice.
2. The LA group - artsy, experimental, niche performers. They mostly perform for other comedians, so their material becomes less and less relatable to the average audience. Once you hit the "in crowd" in Hollywood, doors open in other media avenues, so the peaks of LA standups are often shorter.
3. The road group - colleges, casinos, bars, corporate fundraisers. 2 shows a day, 5-7 days a week, 50 weeks a year. They make the least amount of money and take the longest to develop their talent, playing for sparse, shitty crowds in the middle of nowhere. If they come out on the other side, their technical chops blow the other groups out of the water, but mostly they just languish in obscurity, then start selling insurance or some shite.
Generally it is the latter group that excels at audience interaction, because they have the most experience winning over bored and hostile crowds.
For the record, Patrice O'Neal (RIP) gets my vote for tGOAT at crowd work.

He played Boomtown casino a year or two ago and some friends went and said he was great. Took photos with fans after the show, too.

I see you're a comedian connoisseur such as myself. Duly noted.
ETA: Patrice O'Neal is one of my favorites of all time, crowd work or not.
But if we talkin crowd work, just off the top of my head, Dave Attell has to be up there.

My favorite is when he spots a young couple in the front row. Girl is pretty, he asks how old she is. She says 18. He goes. "18....wow. I bet your pussy tastes like...hope."

Think it was 1986. Pretty stinkin' funny. Saw Steven Wright about the same time. He made my lungs hurt I laughed so hard.

He has a show at the Paragon in Marksville on Saturday. A few tix are still available. If you've never been, there's no bad seat in the auditorium.

Do it. He is famous for off the cuff comedy. He'll riff for an hour about whatever happened to him earlier that day.
This. Saw him in college and his off the cuff was funnier than his bits.

I like Sinbad. Funny without all the cuss words. Saw him in Shreveport several years ago.

I like him a lot. He's a Christian and that is what started my interest in him as a comedian. He's got clean jokes that are really funny. His 70's references are great! He used to have a show that brought back some of the 70's groups that had a lot of Motown, funk and soul music. It was great for me as I grew up in the 70's too. Spend the money and go! Also, another clean comedian that is just really really funny is Tim Hawkins. You may want to check out his act on Youtube or his website. Just google it. Well worth the money too!

I was never a big Sinbad fan, but then again, I never seen his stand up. I see a lot of people saying he is funny. I will have to look him up on youtube.

You mean Rodney Dangerfield.
I remember hearing one from him where he literally walked on the stage and asked the crowd to ask him questions, any questions. he'd turn every question asked into a joke, no matter how random the question was. It was hilarious.
