Dude, just messing with you. I was just giving the typical OT reply.. But to stay on topic, I have never had my Amazon account hacked, but I know someone who has. If I am not mistaking they had a time getting things fixed and I want to say they had to end up creating a new account (I think they were able to get their credit card info as well).

I got the keep the same amazon account both times. I didn't want to create a new account since I had mx under that one already.

Also got a notice from Discover that suspected fraud activity had been done on my account. Spoke with them and they killed the cards and are sending out new ones.
For that reason I never store my debit card on amazon or any other site.

With Amazon you have to change your password about 4x a year. I learned the hard way.

They've never forced me to do that.

I logged out of amazon mx on my phone
and back in and the MFA is working for that too.
