You know, from those aircraft enforced speeding zones on the interstate?

Anyone? Anyone?

They are so full of shite.

I pulled off i-49 to get gas and some cop showed up and said I was speeding on the interstate. It was clearly bullshite and I told him so. Still got the ticket. It was a total scam.

If you had, you wouldn't have known it.

I was going so fast, they had to strafe me to get me pulled over.

Yes, in Oklahoma in 1990 or so. They had a huge trap set up and were writing up at least 5 other cars as they wrote me up. For 6 MPH over the limit.

I sure as hell did. LSP had about 4 units stationed at the on ramp leading onto I-10 eastbound in Jennings. The trooper was waiting for me as I crossed over the apex of the overpass. I've them them running planes on the basin bridge more than a couple of times.

My coworker here in FL. They lay out the stripes however far apart in those zones. Cop was waiting for her when she exited.

There are marks on some roads where a Bear in the Air can determine your speed based on the time it takes you to hit those marks.

It isn't cost efficient and isn't done that much anymore because traffic enforcement these days is mostly about revenue generation.

We are probably only a couple of years away from cops deploying drones to fill that role and it will be a thing again.

DING! DING! DING ! We have a winner here folks. This guy is 100% correct. In fact, I envision this with license plate readers and tickets arriving in the mail. 100% revenue generation with zero effort to public safety.

Right outside Walker in 1973. Pulled over about 6 cars at once.

I have never received one myself but I have seen many people pulled over on i-4 between Tampa and Orlando by them.
