Not really.

I've almost died multiple times. I've had friends die in front of me. I don't feel that those things or anything ever changed me.

When people talk about life changing events, I really don't have any frame of reference.

Got shot January of this year. The appreciation for the little things changes a lot after a near death experience.

yep....a couple of events have changed me forever...

first was the unexpected death of my father when I was 14...made me grow up in a hurry and jump out of being a kid who depended on his parents for every single thing to a young man...

the other was a seminar that, in a single weekend, taught me that the only person or thing in this world that decides how I feel or what happens to me in this world is myself...made me realize that even when life treats you unfairly, you can consciously decide that you are not going to waste time on counterproductive things like feeling victymized,etc...truly changet my outlook on life for the better...

Best friend died. Haven't been the same since. Something really died within me that day and it's taken me a long time to understand.
