you were the lone republican in a field of Dems and number of them African Americans. You live in the middle of Klan country, so its safe to assume a lot fo your votes were based upon racist beliefs which are contrary to our Amercian Values
this is a great moral delima

Nope I said I thought he would have caught it. I also said not enough to overturn the call. After seeing different angles and still pics it was the right call.

Party matters very little in local elections, but my parish is majority democrat, however; the district I was in was mostly white.. There were just over 40 black registered voters and the majority of the black voters who voted were with me.
One of the black councilmen was with me 100%, my district bordered his district. He is someone I had known awhile and he knew we would be able to work with each other a lot better than the other person.
But you are on the right track. You see, while most of the people in my district were registered democrat, they were "old democrats". In the past 2 or 3 presidential elections that district voted for the republican candidate by somewhere in the 70%.
With 6 candidates in an area where a lot of people knew all 6 candidates, it would be the small things that would be the deciding factor for some voters, that was just one of several angles I worked.
