I remember when you ran for a political office and failed miserably
You are trying to get a response from me and it's working, but to say I failed miserably is funny.
I was 1 of 6 candidate. At the age of 26, the next youngest candidate was almost 20 years older than I was.
For a year a campaigned. In the beginning I was told that I need to prepare myself because there is a good chance I would finish with the least votes of all the candidates. By the time the election came around it was pretty much assumed there would be a runoff between two of three people, I was one of them. I was elected to a runoff and lost with just over 40% of the votes.
There is a position I had an interest in since I was younger. This was an open seat and thought that it would be a great opportunity to get the experience of running a campaign, see how it all works, etc.. I hate to lose so I wouldn't have entered the race if I didn't think I didn't have a realistic shot.
I took all the data I could possibly gather (I took the voters list and a map of the district, looked at the demographic by precinct and saw exactly how I would make myself a "serious" candidate. I went into it swinging, prepared for anything and I didn't win.. But I did a lot better than a lot of people told me I would do.
So if that is failing miserable then so be it, I failed miserable. At least I wasn't scared to face whatever would happen.

I guarantee you this. If there was an election with two candidates. I was managing one campaign and you the other.. My candidate would win..
