So 12z has the assumption of closed off circulation in the wrong place and therefore not as accurate as the 06z correct?

I've got a group of buddies traveling from Dallas and New Orleans to meet up in Houston this weekend. Sounds like we should cancel those plans, right?

You don't really have to cancel... but they will have a very wet trip..... this looks to be a huge rain event more than anything with major winds...IMO.
