I think I’ve set up my paychecks wrong because my wife and I are getting $3600 back. First tax return we’ve gotten in years since selling our shitty rental property.

The most American “crime” a citizen can “commit” is evading taxes.

People in LA will complain about tax season and say “our taxes are too damn high” or “we should be like Texas”. But you idiots also voted for JBE, the king of tax and spend

It’s my wife and I’s first time filing jointly, as we just got married in November. Getting $4700 back, apparently. Just pisses me off that we paid the government that much more than we needed to.

Same here. I’ve always been within $500 on either side of owing or being owed and my paycheck can be volatile depending on bonus... This year I made the most in my career and my wife did also and we’re getting $2200, but I’m scared to change it. Gonna give it another year and see if this is a trend.

IRS pay tables and commissioned pay is a shite show. W-4 says I'm married with 24 exemptions and I'm still getting like $7k back. Back to the drawing board I suppose.

Did the estimate on HR block last night and we owe $10k federal and getting back 1300 from the state. I guess my withholding has been too low.

This will be my last year of being able to use Student Loan interest as a deduction. Will need to get creative next year for our tax returns, just thankful I live in the great state of Texas.

I owe a lot of taxes. Took a bunch of big profits on the market with Tesla, Shopify, Amazon and AutoZone
