As someone who loved the original, I was very excited for this one but also didn't have high hopes. We have all seen the garbage remakes that keep coming out.
That said, it was better than I anticipated it would be. Nothing great, definitely can't compare to the first one, but it did make me laugh. The cameos and flashbacks made it.

Sandler goes about 1 for 6 or 7. Mist of his movies are shite, but he’ll make a good one every now and then. This was just a “I’m wealthy and I can make a nostalgic movie because I can” movie.

I don't know. It was fun. Things don't have to be larger than they are meant to be. It was a fun nostalgia trip with some great cameos. I enjoyed it.

It wasn't great like the original but it was better than I thought it'd be. It had some good laughs and is better than most comedies lately. It would be better if they trimmed about 15-20 minutes off it.
