Happy 62nd Birthday Bruce R Hornsby

Wednesday marks Bruce Hornsby's 62nd birthday ! He has been my absolute favorite musician since he and The Range debuted in 1986.
He and his wife, Kathy, are blessed with twin sons who have excelled during their time in college.
Thanks to Keith Hornsby for being a Tiger for two seasons !
A classy family all around !
Hope to meet Bruce one day !

Basically a one hit wonder from the mid 80s.
You could say he had more than one hit, but it's debatable.
I'm not knocking his general music talent, he does have that, though.

Yeah...he had one number one hit. He charted the 40 with Every Little Kiss and Valley Road.
His first four albums were his best IMHO. He never wanted to be the Top40 guy. He told stories about his days in rural Virginia and he always wanted to create new avenues to music. He has touched Pop, Jazz, Bluegrass, and Folk in his compilations. I became smitten with his bright piano sounds and arrangements of chords. He has made a lot of connections in the music world.

On the billboard Top 100 chart, The Way It Is peaked at #1, Mandolin Rain #4, Every Little Kiss #14, The End of the Innocence (w/Don Henley) #8.
