How the hell do they get such a good look and also fire on the men without alarming them to their presence?
When they come straight in, the sound is only slightly faster than the aircraft, AND, the A10 is quiet from the front.
So from the ground, at 2-3 seconds prior to BRRRRRT, they looked up and saw their doom...but they didn't hear the BRRRT, just saw the jet and probably had enough time for a moment of dread.

Combat surveillance blimp with IR observes bad guys through remote feed to someone in a command center somewhere ... they call in A-10 strike, zip, it's over.
You gotta remember, it looks like daylight to us watching the video but it probably all happened during the black of night.

I grew up watching these in Alex-Pineville based at England AFB in Alex. Next door neighbor was a pilot/Capt.
He took us to shooting range once. Yes, the targets are dead before the sound arrives.
Yes thats cool and Im old. We're talking circa 1975.

That zipping sound is scary. Had two flying pretty low pass over my house on inauguration day. Was surreal watching them fly above the hill country. There is a base within range so I see quite a few planes. By far the coolest.
