If one lives in Montgomery, AL and makes $55k a year he can belong to a country club and support a family of four. This cannot be true.

If he lives in Montgomery, he's probably a government worker with a great pension coming to him, with a live in girlfriend and a few kids that get welfare. So, he's got plenty money lying around to spend on what he wants.

I suppose it's possible, but they won't have many extras. They probably won't have two nice cars and a large house with extra bedrooms.
