Isn’t it more of like a 100-120 year old conflict? I mean it’s still far as frick away and I think they should sort it out themselves either way, but shite didn’t really heat up until WW1 and the Balfour Declaration

frick Israel. America first.

I get that, and agree.

I’m still curious how flying a Palestinian flag is better, though.

I mean yeah, but the modern Palestine conflict didn't start until much more recently. Largely with the rise of Zionism in the late 19th century, which (along with the fall of the ottoman empire) led to a rise in Arab nationalism in the early 20th. Balfour Declaration had Britain declare a home for jews in Palestine and then shite really hit the fan with both sides doing a whole lot of violence.

At least that's as much as I know about it. I'm sure there are more complex aspects. It seems more like it's about the land than any religious belief to this ignorant fool

If I recall from reading about this, Islam is around 1400 years old, Judaism was here first, but I forgot how old it is.

Islam started to spread and I think there was something about some land? But they fought off and on, but it wasn't until after WW1 when things started to really "pop off".

What gets me is that today Jews are 0.2% of the population. I had to look this up for the exact numbers, but that's about 18M jews.

There are around 2 billion Muslim, 26% of the population. The Jews have a lot of influence for only being 0.2% of the worlds population. And I guess being such a small population, their influence is what keeps them relevant? But as for as Israel the country, their main purpose is to give the US a presence in the Middle East. Well I say main purpose, I mean in terms of how they benefit the US.

With that said, after the October 2023 attack it seemed like it all of a sudden became a divisive topic in the US. People were on college campuses protesting and it seemed like it was become a right vs left issue since the people protesting for Palestine seemed to be leftist, but the the right became split on the issue. IMO, I think the protest were staged.. Like most protest today. Then when people on the right started to split on the issue, IMO I thought it seemed pretty obvious there were people behind it.

Palestine and Israel have been going at it since what? 1948 when Israel was established? But for some reason in October 2023 people started to give a frick?

When it comes to the two religions I think Islam's goal is to spread throughout the west. The west represents everything Islam doesn't and their are segments of Muslims who believe their job is to spread Islam. As for as the Jews, I know that Israel is the only country in the world allowed to have lobbyist in the US. I know Israel needs the US more than any Islam country.

I think the pro Palestine bullshite is an attempt to get as many voters as possible to vote for people who are not pro Israel. In a sense, because Israel is able to have lobbyist, I think the whole pro Palestine movement in the US is Palestine's way to lobby? They are making the only move they can make.. Get as many voters in the US as possible to vote against pro Israel.

But this shouldn't even be an issue for the citizens of the US. We have our own issues. Personally I think the US as a whole needs a complete upgrade in infrastructure. I wish people would start protesting for infrastructure upgrades. I think more needs to be done about the economy.. Not just for the issues today, but for when AI starts to do more and more jobs that people are doing now. I think education in this country has gone to shite. There are a lot of other issues that we, the US citizens should be more concerned about before we even start to think about Palestine and Israel.

That's my take.
