the health benefits of physical connection to the earth are not pseudoscience. Fortunately all you have to do is go outside and get your hands in the dirt. There are no products necessary for you to do that

we are not meant to spend our lives inside, there are real physical and mental consequences to doing that. Take your shoes off, go outside. shite I spend at least an hour outside every morning buck naked

Get some metallic sheets and run a cable to your ground plug.

Just make sure your life insurance is paid up and you double check your electrician’s qualifications before sleeping on them.

Otherwise you may end up looking like Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies if your wiring is screwed up at home.

I’m sure that getting outside for some physical activity has plenty of physical and mental health benefits, but not due to “grounding” with the earth. That’s dumb.

If that’s what gets you outside, then fine, but don’t waste your money on “grounding sheets” or whatever else your wellness guru is trying to sell to you.

I prefer letting my taint talk to the sun, anyway.

I don't buy into the hype, like the rest of the people here.... but, in general, i respect and appreciate the efforts to circumvent doctors and big pharma if and only if any "thing" is harmless to you. I think eastern medicine practice and homeopathic is shite on BY the people that keep making us customers by being unwell chronically.

If the worst thing a person can lose is a few bucks here and there by trying something new, and no harm is done to you, then I think it's a safe practice, or even healthy. We should all be thinking outside the normal channels to work on ourselves, while not ignoring obvious shite.

More people should spend time gardening. It's therapeutic in lots of ways.

I used to soil my sheets at night every now and then. I bought one of these. Now I soil my sheets and the grounding mat every now and then.

Human Belief…a fascinating topic. How do people come to believe what they believe. In my many years of interest in this subject and observation (note: zero applied research methods towards the following), my conclusion:

1 heap of brain / amygdala design. Some lean rational-dominant and less influenced by emotion. Others emotions-dominant and less influenced by the rational.

2 large scoop of context. How and who raised you, where and when…

3 locus of control - degree to which individuals believe they have control over outcomes in their lives.

A mix of these have led some to think the Earth is flat, others the Earth is a sphere, there is one / THE God, many gods, no God/gods.

My conclusion: Life’s design and all the years of cooking (whether created, evolved or both) has led to broad array of thinking within and between we humans. Whatever is the reason (or not), it wreaks of many questions that many will never ask…and result in electron Nikes or electron flip flops some such.
