Actually, two weeks earlier, the CDC had issued a statement saying that the spread in the US was inevitable. LaToya said frick that, we're doing Mardi Gras anyway, then went on TV in march and said it was Trump's fault she let Mardi Gras go on, because he didn't force her to cancel it.

My grocery story from this morning Kroger's in tomball TX. Lots of people in produce so I leave my cart at the perimeter and walk over for my sweet potatoes. Get back to cart and its surrounded by fire department crew all around my cart. They all in masks and gear and split as I get to my cart like I have leprosy. One guy says something about 6' so I said "do all of you have to be in here together?" Silence.
This shite is making it easy to see who is retarded around us. Why do 6 fireman all need to be in there together? They could have sent 2 people to get their groceries

LaToya is a moron but other states were having large gatherings as well like the Houston rodeo.
I don't know what caused the larger spike in Louisiana but it would make sense that the virus was brought to Nola during Mardi Gras and spread from there.
Most people that I see seem to be following the guidelines though. Of course, we'll always have some that dgaf.
