With as much as this board hates cops I can't believe that there are actually people trying to defend them here. Its a fricking disgrace that this isn't going to trial.
Meanwhile people are too worried about Furgueson to pay attention to this.

Uh,Wait .. it's the cop's fault 24 citizens decided their wasn't enough evidence to warrant a trial?

Michael Brown was justifiable. This situation not so much.

There's plenty of gems in that thread- one that stuck out to me...

When we became cops we knew (or should've known) that people are going to complain about us and try to sue us. Well bring it on. We shouldn't be afraid of them. They should be afraid of us.

The only reason why there was no indictment is because the DA didn't want one. The DA can't do his job without leaning on the cops to help him, so he throws them a favor. There's a famous saying in NY about DA's indicting a ham sandwich if they want to. The whole proceeding is up to the DA and does what he wants. To call it impartial either shows your true colors or your naïveté.

Sirens all damn night near Union Square. Next to a police paddy wagon staging area and a fire house. Oh boy. And I had a migraine. Ugh.

Should they have brought a true bill just to satisfy the rioting, thieving segment of the population?

Simple solution to the Al Sharpton race baiters and riot starters filth:
Don't commit crimes - don't get killed
Don't resist arrest - don't get killed
Plenty of law abiding, hard working black people that don't go on the street, committing crimes and attacking cops.
I don't see any of them being 'targeted' and stalked and killed by police.

I've been hearing Martial Arts experts saying it wasn't a choke. They're saying it was a headlock with a takedown.
That is correct. Two types of chokes with one cutting off blood flow by squeezing the carotid(sp) arteries and the other cutting off air flow. The second is very dangerous and neither was applied in this case. If someone can speak to say "I can't breathe" he is in fact breathing.

Why does the rule exist?
Honestly, because most officers can't properly use a choke hold.

I also talked to a retired Marine that taught martial arts and he is saying the same thing. From my untrained eye it looks like a choke

I believe the autopsy said that a choke contributed to the death though. I'd have to look for that link later.

The cop killed a guy by choking him. I'm no lawyer, but I don't care about the technical term. This cop should be on trial and be judged by 12 normal every day people.
This shite makes me want to riot and I'm a 40 year old cracker.

I can't agree with the jury on this one. This was just a fat guy selling loose cigarettes
