Ah. The Oxford comma. I use B but it’s a stylistic matter.
Eh. It's confusing not using it and wastes a lot of time trying to understand what the writer is trying to say.

Most who went to a catholic or college preparatory school were taught to use B, without the final comma.
I don't recall from the two years I was at one. But that's a bad thing to teach because it's confusing and wastes time.
quote:
Journalists typically are taught to write using the AP style which uses the extra comma.
Incorrect. AP style teaches to use without the Oxford comma. I think to theoretically save space, which is fair.

While both are accepted, and both have extreme instances in which they can cause confusion, I find that not using an Oxford comma leads to confusion more often than using it, so I use it.

I’m an advocate of the Oxford comma. There are some instances where it can help clarify a sentence, so I prefer to use it in all instances.

I’ve always used B.
And you've always been wrong.
You will use the Oxford comma and you will fricking well like it. Got it?
You will understand it, accept it, and use it.

depends on what style you are using; Associated Press style calls for NO Oxford comma;
