What are the towns outside of Baton Rouge doing to develop with the rapid growth they've seen over the past several years?

This. Ascension Parish had a chance to fix these mistakes due to their pre-existing rural road grid, but they have mostly shite the bed on it. Traffic in Eastern Ascension could be improved dramatically with more 4-lane roads turn lanes and signals.

Extend Kennilworth to Burbank and Nicholson, then extend it the other way behind OLOL with overpasses over both interstates and having it connect with Mc Carrol Drive.

I'm only somewhat familiar with the others one, but this seems like a no-brainer.

There's some pretty expensive property that the city would have to buy up to do this, plus some expensive overpasses. Not to mention you'd have all the Kenilworth, Pikes Lane, and Bocage people all breaking out the NIMBYs.

There's been some talk of expanding it to Nicholson, but there's an old cemetery and an Ace Hardware in the way between Burbank and Highland, so automatically, it's impossible.

That hardware store isn't even really in the way. That section would be far less complicated and cheaper than extending to McCarroll.

I don't think there is anyway it would ever be extended to Jefferson Place. That has been a one entry subdivision since the 1950s. Too many rich people in there to keep it from happening.

Exactly one of the reasons why we have so many problems in this city.

Just have to know how to hit them right. And have a truck, and keep your tire pressure in the low 30's.

That's why I use a hovercraft with a Kevlar airfoil, it's FAF.

Another thing that gets me about BR is most roads change their name at least twice.

Coursey - Bluebonnet

Sherwood Forrest - Seigen - Burbank

Acadian - Stanford - LSU ave

Foster - College - Lee - Brightside

Corsey also changes names to George O'Neal, which intersects O'Neal lane. Fricking confusing. There's also Dalrymple that becomes Park and S. 18th street

S. 19th... another nice street to know if you want to get around while avoiding interstates. Just don't try to turn left onto Government or I'll honk at your arse.

College ends at Jefferson, so there is no change there.

Finish Stunberg Lane by the new hospital and connect the two at Jefferson. Add entrance and exit ramps on I-10 at Pecou. Four lane Pecou and connect it to Seigan along the interstate.

Supposedly, these are all happening soon, but I'll believe it when I see it. They also said that Nicholson was getting a left turn lane at Lee/Brightside in 1989 so I won't hold my breath.

Work has started on this.

Four lane Pecou

I assume this will happen as they are adding the new entrance/exits.

I don't think this is necessary, yet.

Can someone elaborate on this. Looking at the map it's confusing me how they'd accomplish this.

2 different task.

1.) 4 laning picou

2.) having a "service street" run along the interstate like what is between siegen/mall of louisiana/bluebonnet.

Double deck the entire interstate from the bridge all the way to Oneil and Highland. Similar to this. Upper deck is for those by passing BR.

edit: I know I'm dreaming.

I wish, and it's probably cheaper than a loop.
