I hope this doesn't penetrate one of your tendons and hopefully not the a2 or a4 pulley but I don't know if it's a flexor or extensor that affected.

I'm nothing close to a medical professional but I would pour some hydrogen peroxide on it first (as long as it's not too deep of a cut) then cover it with neosporrin and a band aid and then take 800 milligrams of ibuprofen tonight to help with the inflammation.

Google "flexor tenosynovitis" and if your finger/hand look like or qualify for those symptoms, you need to go to the ER asap.
You do need a tetanus shot if it's been longer than 10 years, however, it sounds like your finger is infected, and a severe infection like flexor tenosynovitis in your dominant hand can be permanently disabling.

I looked this up once after I sliced my foot. Basically found that there where like 8 cases in the USA (300m people) in the last 10years. So sounds like a scam to me. Shots aren't really good for u either in general.
