Bayer (Germany) has taken them over and will retire the name of the company. Will be weird not to have Monsanto around anymore...

This thread is in reference to a merger, but Monsanto is (was) a huge US agricultural chemical company. That's outdoorsy enough.

They also make Tylenol. So Bayer not only bought their competitor in the lawn and garden chemical sector, but the pain reliever sector as well
