Why are all yall so violent down there?

There’s a lot of people that don’t mind killing people or committing other crimes. We can leave it at that.

It’s crazy how New Orleans is full of queers, gays, women, etc from all over the world living there but it’s regular old white dudes from Watson who are the most afraid of the city.
You forgot to mention one other thing that New Orleans is full of

You think the regular "white dudes" are carry guns because of the "gays, queers and women" ?

Walking between the French Quarter and the Warehouse District-
I wouldn’t do that late at night. Cab or Uber and you will be fine.

As far as staying away from the first two blocks of Bourbon Street-
I can’t do that because that is where Galatoire’s is.

Anyone who says “NOLA” is making it clear they aren’t from the area.

One of those groups is rational and risk adverse.
Do you know which one?

Maybe it's just me getting old but I would be out of the FQ before midnight

It’s not just you. I was there in January for several hours and I didn’t see a single police officer once I was gone from the immediate area of the dome after the Falcons game.

I’ve never seen such an absence of law enforcement in the Quarter before.

Very sound advice. NOLA is a great place to have some really good food and cocktails. But if you're happily married and don't need to blow off a ton of steam, you can follow a few easy steps to be fairly safe: 1. have a great dinner and a few drinks; 2. go catch some music or another cocktail at another site, but don't overdo it; 3. head home around 11p unless you really feel the need to dance and party; 4. Stay off Canal, especially the north end, and don't go north of bourbon. If you're uptown, stay riverside of St. Charles if you don't know the area well.

Tis a shame it’s gotten to the point where step by step advice and street by street guidance is the norm. This can be echoed for most larger cities. It’s almost like we are taught to not pay attention to history and facts anymore.
