random parades happen pretty often, but a full on parade with marching bands and dance teams are not an every weekend occurrence

I flew in from Minneapolis yesterday evening and the flight was full of smoke shows coming in for the convention. They seemed to all be traveling alone as well.

You haven't had the right person fix one for you. It's an art, you can't just throw vodka and tomato juice in a cup and call it a Bloody Mary. There's much much more to it.

I have never been a fan, either.
