Eh. I'm good for a 78 from the men's tees at Santa Maria or Copper Mill, but am never surprised if I'm in the upper 80's or 90's from the tips.

As you get older you need to play it forward. I've played the Tips with Net, Jakes, & Croaka before but it's too long for my old arse. If I play the middles I can keep it in the low 80's and an occasional high 70's.

If you have to play hybrid or long iron on every par 4 for your second shot, you should move up 1. Check the ego at the pro shop.

I usually score high 80s low 90s from the mid tees and low 80s from the tips at my home course, Greystone. It just works out that way because the course is such a weird setup.

At Ol Colony I'm usually good for low to mid 80s from the blues, but when I play with my dad I'll play from the whites and just keep the driver in the bag to shoot high 70s low 80s. I've never played from the tips on any course, mainly because I know I'm not good enough to try.
