I’ve seen a lot of very good golfers that don’t seem very athletic. Golf is more of a mental sport. Basketball on the other hand requires athleticism to be good at it.

I think basketball has a valid argument to be the most athletic demanding of the big 4 sports; especially with how fast-paced the game is these days.
They have endurance to run up and down the court, strength to bully in the lane and absorb contact, can obviously jump, incredible hand-eye coordination to shoot at high percentages, and, anatomically speaking, freaks of nature given their height and body coordination with such huge bodies.

Golfers have the potential to make 6-7 figures from the time they go pro into their 50/60’s if they want to keep at it.
Basketball, football, and baseball tap them out in under a decade, for the most part.
Plus, golf is classy. Not many OT’ers have a clear understanding of what that means.

My neighbor was a army copter pilot in Vietnam. Earl Woods was in his group back then in Nam, maybe Sargent Major, don't know but special forces for sure. He said Earl was the man and this is from a redneck from Colfax La.
