1. you are completely full of shite
2. your brother is lying to you
3. your brother is doing something shady
4. a combination of the above

I employ both a full time psychiatric nurse practitioner and a psychiatrist in my clinic and they aren't generating anything close to that in billings much less collections

The future is Health Apps like Apple have using real time information to make the right calls. I doubt we will even need all these NPs as the tech evolves.

So whose malpractice do I file against when Siri makes a terminal mistake?

I was a travelnurse for 2 years in AZ. You can still find assignments now. Company I traveled with still calls me asking if I want to go back to them.

They paid really good hourly wages ($40/hr back in 2005....which would have been around $50-60 if I would have been in CA).Plus they paid for a fully furnished nice apartment with all utilities. Only thing I had to pay for was if I wanted more than a basic cable package. Even would pay for a rental car if you needed one. Assignments are 13 weeks and you can usually renew several times if you like where you are at. Can easily go staff if you like the hospital and they like you and you want to be a permanent resident in that city.

So do PAs. My wife is a PA and is licensed by the Louisiana state medical board. She has full prescriptive authority, including Schedule II.

Louisiana just has more of a preference for NP rather than PA. For example: on the AAPA website, there are currently 1100+ PA jobs posted and 1 (one) is in Louisiana.

National Average is 90K, which doesn't include productivity bonuses that can range from $5k - 20K+.

So in addition to unloading my frustration with NPs onto the OT's shoulder's, I have also outted roguetiger as a complete fraud.

Same as when an NP makes a terminal mistake I suppose? Would you go to an NP for something near death?

So, the physician who is supervising Siri? Or I guess Apple could take out a single, nationwide medmal policy to cover their claims, but that will likely make Siri's medical services pretty expensive as well.

You could be hyperglycemic with symptoms of dehydration. Wrong diagnoses for presumably simple conditions can sometimes turn into serious, acute issues that could bring you near death. It's one of the many reasons doc carry medmal insurance. I wonder how/if that liability would transfer to a software and/or its parent company. That is actually a big topic of discussion in my field, b/c you are ultimately right. Primary care will involve more mid-levels, more telemedicine, and more healthcare diagnosis applications in the near future.

Here's a snippet of interest in a huge dragnet case on a relatively recent scam.

Of course, your NP bro making more than some Orthropods, Neurologists, etc. is not cause for alarm. Naw, he's just 6x better than the typical NP
