I tip to the experience and the service. Then again, I’m not poor and I appreciate pleasant exchanges.

I’m with you. Haircut lady, bartender, and waiter. That’s it for me. Go ahead a punch no tip, no need to spin that thing around.

Honestly you should've reported him for that comment. That is intimidation. Frick him tell him he should've gotten an education

You were nicer than I would have been. My response would have been "Tips are for good or great service. 3 hours for a 30 minute job is neither. Now go get your manager so I can talk to him about your attitude. And here's a really good tip ... get a better fricking job!"

the $$ might be going right in the back pocket of the owner.

I have heard that the card processing companies may take some as a % of transaction. I have also seen where the tax is applied to service + tip.

Square/Clover etc., as well as the credit card companies (depending on the merchant agreement) all take a cut of the entire transaction.

Simple solution: Pay with cash. No more tip screens.

Better hand them exact change. . .otherwise, “do you need your change?”

Yes. Based upon how they take care of my stuff. After moving 2 times this year I was fortunate to have the same crew.

Sorry Junky, I didn’t take auto mechanics class in High School.
You think you need to attend an auto mechanics class to know how to change the oil in your car?

Could have changed your own oil like a real man
Or, you could have gotten free lifetime oil changes when you bought the truck like I did!

I haven’t paid for an oil change in over 7 years.

Saw a skit on Instagram the other day where a guy is on death row putting in his order for his last meal and the police officer whips out an Ipad for a tip after.

Yea, I do because I don't work on cars. I never have had to work on cars and I will never need to work on cars.

Mind boggling isn't it?

Question: Can you write 3,000 lines of .php code by hand?

Yup, I had that great deal where I lived before with the dealership, but moved out of state and the dealership here does not accept transfers :(
