No, he didn’t vote for the finalized version of Obamacare. When he voted YES on something earlier in the process he said he did it because that’s what the majority of his district wanted him to do.. you know.. like a real representative is supposed to do. He was maybe the only true representative in congress.
The reason he won was because it was the after Katrina election and a big chunk of the black voting base had been washed out of the city. It was a much more white and Vietnamese electorate which helped him. Along with Jefferson being at the end of his corruption rope.
