There are 2 beer can islands in the area. The one south of the Manatee river, and the one that's north of the little Manatee river. The one that's north has been a party spot for years. Some guys bought the island at auction for $64k.
Some government officials are jealou and want to legislate it out of existence.
The guys have a little restaurant, a lady rents beach chairs, etc. The government says there is no way to get a fire truck there, or a helicopter pad for med-evacs, so they want to pass laws to not allow the island to be used.

Morning GRT! Grandbaby tore my bandages off yesterday while I was comprised changing his diapers. He now believes God has commanded him to tear or beat my stitches out. His timing is impeccable. Gonna be a great weekend!
