I can’t take a rootless dying tree to get groomed or teach it fun tricks and take it swimming with me

ETA: it’s more than the mess though, also the branches don’t support heavy ornaments well and also they’re not perfectly symmetrical

I love Christmas. Decorations make me happy. I bought a second tree this year but now may not put them up. Kids were going to come here but then decided we will all go to Louisiana so grandbaby has Christmas in his own house.

Ex always insisted on a real tree.

The only positive is the smell, that’s it. The rest is a huge hassle.

We have a huge artificial one this year. I can easily light a damn tree candle

I’m at work and this fricking mouse is gallivanting all over in here.

I’m not cooking in here again until everything is sanitized.

With her house….literally every surface and the walls in every room (including their laundry room) was covered with like 30 years of various Christmas decorations though. It was beyond excessive.

Yep, they do that down here to build up the coast line but obviously they don’t do that with the flocked.

We use them around the camp to fish around.

Every now and then a few get thrown in the fire.

No that is out.

My daughter has my first decorations I bought when they were little. I have purchased vintage items like my grandma had when I was little. I guess it is a memories thing.

Rhett

MS, I have lots of our decorations from growing up and always look for certain pieces I remember that we no longer have. I love meaningful stuff!
