True. At least we have king cake, crawfish and Mardi Gras to look forward to.

Yes, but I didn't. Tomorrow can always be a better day.

Ellis, yes I did. Last year.
I applied for other positions, in and out of my organization, for 18 months.
After a year and a half of saving to prepare for quitting the job I utterly hated, I got a position I truly love and will do for hopefully the next 25-30 years until I retire.
I have my wife to thank for supporting and pushing me forward, though.
Keep your head up brother. Always keep pushing forward no matter what.

To be fair, the VA diagnosed me with hate and discontent and whiskeys the only thing that helps. Go figure...
Has something to do with details like this, I guess.

appreciate it fish, Soldier
I'm on the verge of doing what you did Soldier, just saving up and getting ready to walk away from this soul sucking job.
I'm glad you were able to find something you love

Wassup Mouser. I think I'm only averaging 4-1/2 hours a night for the last two weeks. Starting to drag

The economy is just horrible right now.
I was not about to go back to Iraq or Afghanistan though I had the opportunity to do so as a Reserverists or contractor.
Just couldn't do it anymore with two small kids.
IDK what your education background is but I'm hearing that a lot of construction and oil field jobs are about to open at a fast pace in the Second to Third Quarter of this CY, after PE DJT takes over.

Currently working in the oil ans gas industry. While the industry has been very good to me, both financially and personally, I'm just burnt out on it and ready for another career path

Throughout my Active Duty time I had no choice but to do online classes.
I did 2 years at a Brick and Mortar in Louisiana then spent the rest online while on assignments or deployments.
I was surprised at how employers responded. It's a sign of dedication to better yourself. Fact is, the future of education is headed towards more online and less classroom. I was chosen for my current job over kids who have MBA's but no real world knowledge. Sometimes you just can't make up for not having a skill set.
Now, with that, I am applying for LSU's MBA Program because I have to compete
Keep at it brother. It will definitely help you in the long run.

Hello Men. A LOT of blues in this here thread.
Should I tell you to suck it up, that this is life?
Should you go to a website showing hungry children in parts of the world or mistreated pets?
Be forced to look at Middle East women with moustaches?
How about a VA hospital with young men facing 50 years with less than 4 limbs, or 2 eyes or hideous burn scars?
Nah...none of that...come on men, our families are counting on us...let's do some work, find some blue skies, put our heads down and cheer someone up....
