I would thrive under those conditions.

Yes I read that one and enjoyed it. I have read so much nazi stuff I decided to take a little break.
When you start trying to comprehend and explore the thoughts and reasons behind all the awful things that happened...idk it's tough.
Have you been to the holocaust museum in dc?

In the story they cover a lot of things you wouldn't even think about. One of the characters has diabeetus and insulin has to be kept refrigerated... so even something as simple as getting insulin becomes impossible.

You changed your avi but not location.
And good morning.

Did you read Operation Paperclip?
quote:
Operation Paperclip was the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) program in which over 1,500 German scientists, technicians, and engineers from Nazi Germany and other foreign countries were brought to the United States for employment in the aftermath of World War II.[1] It was conducted by the Joint Intelligence Objectives Agency (JIOA), and in the context of the burgeoning Cold War. One purpose of Operation Paperclip was to deny German scientific expertise and knowledge to the Soviet Union[2] and the United Kingdom,[3] as well as inhibiting post-war Germany from redeveloping its military research capabilities.
To circumvent President Truman's anti-Nazi order and the Allied Potsdam and Yalta agreements, the JIOA worked independently to create false employment and political biographies for the scientists. The JIOA also expunged from the public record the scientists' Nazi Party memberships and régime affiliations. Once "bleached" of their Nazism, the scientists were granted security clearances by the U.S. government to work in the United States.
Our entire space program was developed by some of these former Nazi scientists.

H.H. Holmes? That really happened.

Sir...I have not but would love to go one day. I'm very much fascinated by the WWII era.
Terd...I can't wait to go see Unbroken. That book was just amazing. Sad Louie died just a few months ago.

I knew that, but I didn't read that book.
I like books on aviation tech too. I think the Roswell alien is responsible for the jump in awesomeness after the crash

Reading the Louis Zamperini story you would think it's fiction. That guy lived an amazing life.

It's a fictional account of the effects of an EMP attack on the US... imagine if everything electronic just stopped working. No modern cars, refrigeration, electricity, communications, medical care, etc.
I watched some of that TV show, it sucked.

I know right?! Pretty awesome he was skateboarding and skiing into his 80s. I bet he was awesome to be around. I hope Angelina did his story justice. The interview I saw of her she seem to be very humbled to just be in his presence.
