Nonrefundable.

It's whatever. We have to be in the city for Thanksgiving anyway. So either we pay assloads getting a cab from Uptown to the Westbank.. or we stay at Hilton and deal.

I tend to never care about that kind of thing. All my shortcuts through BR are 70805 :livingontheedge:

Plus, ain't none of them people gonna be at Avenue or wherever we watch the game.

I also got Peche reservations for Friday lunch with no issue at all. Again, ain't none of them people at Peche

Currently wearing sweatpants.

I can't fit into my overalls (from a year ago). I need to get back to exercising again.

I am going to order the lamb book. Biblical fiction? Kinda like a what if?

More like Biblical comedy fiction. Biff is the forgotten disciple and JC's BFF. An angel brings him back from the dead to write the story of Jesus from his point of view.

Maybe you need some light reading. There's a 6 book chick series by Maya Banks that starts with Sweet Surrender.

Greg Iles is fun and a bit twisted because it's semi local.

Erik Larson is also a great author. He writes nonfiction but presents it in a way that makes you feel like you are reading fiction.

Currently reading "In the Garden of Beasts" by him. About the US Ambassador in Germany in the mid 1930s and his daughter. About his interactions with Hitler and the Nazis. And about his daughter basically sleeping with several big officials while over there(including the former leader of the Gestapo). Very fascinating book if you love WWII stuff(or stuff around that time period).

His most known book is Devil in the White City (Erik Larson). Again...nonfiction but reads like fiction. About the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Tells about the struggles to get the fair organized by the architects and also tells the story of a serial killer on the loose in that area during that time.

Another good book is One Second After. It's a fictional account of the effects of an EMP attack on the US... imagine if everything electronic just stopped working. No modern cars, refrigeration, electricity, communications, medical care, etc.
