Morning Nurse

Do you have a pulse ox? I've seen young healthy people who come in with a few common complaints but NO SOB and their pulse ox is like 92 percent

I don't. Was looking on amazon for one though cause I was thinking the same thing you were.

Can't get one delivered until April.

I'm trying not to freak out. I'm not doing direct patient care but I was all over the hospital doing PPE teachings to staff on units that had COVID-19 patients.

Last night I had a brief episode where I thought I felt like I couldn't take a deep breath all the way. But...I think that was more my anxiety kicking in and me having a mini panic attack cause I was overthinking what my symptoms mean.

A lot of people are freaking out. If you are feeling bad and concerned getting seen is not a bad thing. I'm sure they have telemedicine somewhere there. If you have a question you can DM me.

Well I have to contact Employee Health to see what criteria they are using for this.

I know we have tents set up for staff to be tested if they have been exposed. I just don't know what that exact criteria is.

I have the cell number of the director of Employee Health...i had to chat with her multiple times the last time I had the on call phone. I'll text her in a little bit and she can give me some guidance.

Normally..I would just stay home and not even get swabbed for the flu. Just supportive care and rest and not be exposing myself to others in a busy urgent care. I would imagine that applies even moreso now. But don't know if work wants me to find out first if I do just have the flu (Flu A is still going around a decent bit in this area). The suddenness of symptoms sounds a lot like flu. And I know you don't always have a fever with flu.

I have the on call phone until Monday. May have to get a coworker come pick it up or something. Can't really be dealing with calls if I'm home sick.

Mouser, check out chaga mushrooms both in making tea and capsules. And beta glucan. Good stuff.

And make sure your proviotics are coated to make it through your stomach.
